Security Magazine Recognizes Women on the Frontline of Security
Security Magazine recently released an article recognizing 13 female security executives who are on the frontline of security, and the University of West Florida’s own Dr. Eman El-Sheik is among those featured! The article provides insight into the individual experiences of the women who “are bound by the same passion: to serve, protect, and facilitate public or private safety and security” and highlights what it means to be a leader in the growing security industry.
Dr. Eman El-Sheikh, Director of the Center for Cybersecurity at the University of West Florida (UWF), is passionate about developing sustainable and scalable programs to overcome the skills gap in the cyber industry and is working to bring diverse perspectives together to inspire younger generations to explore the world of cybersecurity.
In addition to directing the UWF Center for Cybersecurity, Dr. El-Sheikh also leads the NSA/DHS National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity Regional Hub for the Southeast U.S. and co-founded the Florida Women in Cybersecurity Affiliate to recruit, support and advance women in cybersecurity across the state!
