Cyber Florida, part of the University of South Florida, is a nonprofit organization that works with various stakeholders toward its mission goals. While the majority of our funding comes from the State of Florida, a portion of our programs, projects, and events rely on additional funding from donors and sponsors. The generosity of donors and sponsors helps ensure our programs remain affordable and accessible to as many of Florida’s citizens, businesses, and organizations as possible.
Gifts to support Cyber Florida at USF’s programs may be made through the University of South Florida Foundation, Inc. If you would like to make a gift to support Cyber Florida at USF, please visit https://giving.usf.edu/online/ and select “Florida Center for Cybersecurity Operations (#180009).”
Gifts to Cyber Florida at USF help support programs such as the following:
CyberLaunch: The nation’s LARGEST statewide high school cyber competition, CyberLaunch introduces hundreds of Florida high schoolers to the potential of a cyber career. Donor support helps us keep this event totally FREE for students and teachers!
CyberWorks: A life-changing program for many of its graduates, CyberWorks prepares adult career changers—particularly veterans and first responders—for entry-level industry certifications such as CompTIA Sec+. Donations help us provide full-tuition scholarships for worthy candidates for this program.
SOCAP: The Security Operations Center Apprentice Program provides internships for USF students to gain hands-on, real-world cybersecurity analyst skills. SOCAP rounds out the students’ academic experience and helps them secure high-paying jobs upon graduation. Donor support helps us offer this opportunity to more students.
